Key Features of the Lineage 1000E

Lineage 1000E

Embraer announced the Lineage in 2006 for the head-turning discount price of $40.05 million. Picture Source.

Overall, as you would expect from the name, the Lineage 1000E follows the blueprints of its predecessor. It sheds weight where it isn’t needed though – literally. An extra 500lbs has been dropped since the previous model increasing its range, with the aircraft now capable of carrying 19 passengers comfortably. There is no danger of this leading to the feel of a commercial aircraft, however. With five separate cabins, the privacy that is such a fundamental appeal of such jets is maintained.

Everything is slicker, from the stone veneer finishing to the 48-inch TV in the third cabin. Technology has been seamlessly integrated into every part of the jet. Televisions and Blu-ray players are available on board the aircraft whilst iPad docks and Apple TV let passengers bring their own multimedia. There’s even a lighting system that can be controlled by your iPhone. Real technology enthusiasts will be impressed to hear that Embraer lineage 1000E jets can come equipped with HUD, EVS, and Autoland capabilities that enable the plane to fly itself through the approach, touch-down and rollout procedure.

Lineage 1000E Interior

The Lineage 1000E Skyacht One is a joint venture by Embraer and designer Eddie Sotto, running with the tagline “what if a yacht could fly?”. Picture Source.

With four passengers, for example, the Lineage 1000E can fly directly from London to New York, or Los Angeles to Lima, at a maximum cruise speed of 472 KTAS ( 874 km/h).

The Embraer Lineage 1000E jet has a slower cruising speed compared to some of the ultra long range jets, but its spacious interior guarantees a more comfortable and relaxed journey. It has the lowest cabin altitude in its class, of 7,000 feet, even though the aircraft’s maximum operating altitude is 41,000 feet.
