This model served as the successor to the Super King Air 200, featuring an increased wingspan, an increase in operating weights, and the T-tail design that is now implemented on larger King Air models. In 2008, the King Air B200GT was introduced. This model kept the engines of its predecessor, capitalizing on the design to improve climb performance and increase cruising speed.
